Plainfield Renewable Energy (PRE) is a 37.5 megawatt biomass power plant using waste wood fuel located in Plainfield, CT.
NuPower Thermal LLC is developing a district energy project in Bridgeport, Connecticut which will use the waste heat from a 10 MW co-gen unit and existing power plants to provide low temperature heat to a downtown thermal loop. The Project will rely on proven low temperature heating and cooling technology that has been implemented throughout Europe.
CHERRY STREET CO-GEN
This project is comprised of 178 apartment units and a school which will receive electricity and heat from an on-site fuel cell. The system will be expanded in 2020 to incorporate an additional 150 units and ancillary commercial space.
